Abstract

Otman Baba Vilâyetnâmesi onun ölümünden sonra müridlerinden Köçek Abdal tarafından sözlü gelenekten derlenerek yazıya geçirilmiştir. Otman Baba XV. yüzyılda Anadolu’da ve ağırlıklı olarak Balkanlarda faaliyet göstermiş bir heterodoks kalenderi şeyhidir. Vilâyetnâme Otman Baba ekseninde geçer. Bu çerçevede yaşadığı döneme ait tarihî ve sosyal hayata ilişkin bilgiler verir. Çalışmamızda vilâyetnâmeyi bir edebî eser olarak sözlü kültür perspektifinden incelemeye çalıştık
