Abstract

Hoca Ahmet Yesevî XII. yüz yılda yaşamış ünlü mutasavvıflardan biridir. Ahmet Yesevî'nin fikirleri yetiştirdiği binlerce muakkibi tarafından şimdiye kadar yaş atılmıştır. Ahmet Yesevî'nin doğum yeri meselesiyle ilgili araştırıcılarca Türkiye'de ve Türkiye dışında pek çok çalışma yapılmıştır. Bu makalemizde özellikle Doğu Türkistan tarihlerinden yararlanarak onun doğum yeri hakkında bilgiler değerlendirilecek ve bu hususta şimdiye kadar kaynaklarda yaygın olarak geçen yanlışlıklar üzerinde durulacaktır.
