AN EVALUATION UPON WOMEN RIGHTS IN TURCS

Abstract

It has never been easy for the Turkish woman to attain the rights she ought to have from the birth. We can observe this fact in the historical process. Especially, when we look at the Turkish woman we observe that although she had been near her man in the in the beginning, she was pushed back afterwards. Before chosing Islam as a religion, in the Turkish society the position of woman was better than the other societies. We can even say in that period woman had much more rights than today. After the accaptence of Islam, the women rights in Turkish society retrograded. The main cause was incorrect interpretation of islamic teachings. The interpretation of Qur'an along 14 centuries has been a male expounding and some made-up narratives were accepted as Prophet's traditions. Furthermore foreign cultures penetrated into islamic teachings. Attaining of Turkish woman the rights that women have in the modern world, is due to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of Turkish Republic. We have to stand as protector to the rights which Atatürk caused Turkish woman to get.

TÜRKLERDE KADIN HAKLARI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Abstract

Kadın, doğuştan sahip olması gereken insan haklarına çok kolay ulaşmamıştır. Bunu tarihsel süreç içinde de görebiliriz. Özellikle Türk kadınının dününe baktığımız zaman, başlangıçta erkeğin yanında yer alan kadının sonra bir adım geriye itildiğine şahit oluyoruz.İslamiyeti din olarak seçişleri öncesinde, Türklerde kadının durumu özellikle diğer toplumlardan çok daha iyi idi. Hatta bazı konularda da kadınların bugünkünden daha çok hakka sahip olduklarını söyleyebiliriz. İslamiyetin kabulü ile birlikte Türk toplumları arasında kadın hakları açısından bir gerileme söz konusudur. Bunun başlıca nedeni, İslam öğretilerinin yanlış yorumlanması ve uydurma sözlerin hadis (Hz. Muhammed'in sözleri) olarak kabul edilmesidir. Ayrıca yabancı kültürlerin İslama nüfuz etmesi de etkili olmuştur.Türk kadınının çağdaş dünya kadınının sahip olduğu haklara kavuşması Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kurucusu Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK sayesinde olmuştur. Ulu önder Atatürk'ün Türk kadınına kazandırdığı haklara hep birlikte kadın-erkek sahip çıkalım
