Abstract

Türk atasözü ve deyimleri, edebiyatımızda konu yönünden bir çok araştırma ve incelemeye tâbî tutulduğu hâlde halk ve topluluk isimleri açısından incelenmemiştir. Tasvirî yönde yapılan bu inceleme çalışmasında Türk atasözü ve deyimlerinde adı geçen halk ve toplulukların Frenk kapsamına giren İngilizler ve Hindistan’ta yaşayan Hintliler hariç Osmanlı Devleti coğrafyasına tâbî oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar içerisinde Türk toplumuyla en çok karşılıklı etkileşim içesinde olan gayrı müslim Ermeni, Rum ve Yahudiler özel bir önem taşımaktadırlar. Araştırmamızda atasözü ve deyimlerimizde adı geçen başlıca halk ve topluluklar arasında şunlar tespit edilmiştir: Acem, Arap, Arnavut, Boşnak, Çingene, Ermeni, Frenk, Hindû, İngiliz, Kürt, Mağribî, Osmanlı, Rum, Tatar, Türk, Yahudi.

The Names of Collective Nouns at Turkish Proverbs and Idioms

Abstract

In Turkısh Literature, despite many studies and investigations on Turkish proverbs and idioms with regard to theme, there has not been done any study from the public and collective nouns point of view.
In the process of this investigation that done for description, ıt has been understood that the so-called publics and communities were absolutely of Ottoman Empire except for those who were Englishmen that considered European and the Indians living in India. Within them, non-muslim Armenians, Greeks and Jews who were in interaction with Turkish People on a large scale play a key role.
The main public and communities mentioned in our investigation were defined as follows; Persian, Arab, Albanian, Bosnian Gipsy, Armenian, European, Hindu, English, Kurdish, people living in northern Africa, Ottoman, Greek, Tatar, Turk and Jew.
