Psychology of Religion

Abstract

In this chapter of book that entitled Science, Religion and Society: An Encyclopedia of History, Culture, and Controversy has been given important informations about psychology of religion’s historical development as well as pioneer figures’ contributions. In this text some evaluations has been made by categorizing studies in field of psychology of religion. Finally some informations are provided about current status of the psychology of religion and position of the psychology of religion with a critical standpoint.

Abstract

Science, Religion and Society: An Encyclopedia of History, Culture, and Controversy isimli eserin bu bölümünde din psikolojisi hakkında tarihsel gelişiminin yanı sıra öncü figürlerin katkıları konusunda da önemli bilgiler verilmektedir. Bu yazıda din psikolojisi alanında yürütülen çalışmalar bazı kategorilere ayırılarak değerlendirmelerde bulunulmaktadır. Son olarak da din psikolojisinin günümüzdeki durumuna ilişkin bilgiler verilmekte ve eleştirel bir bakışaçısıyla din psikolojisinin konumu ortaya konulmaktadır.
