Abstract

The anatomical characteristics of Bupleurum heldreichii Boiss. & Bal. and Bupleurum lophocarpum Boiss. & Bal. taxa which are endemic for Turkey of Bupleurum genus belonging to Apiaceae family have been investigated in this study. Anatomical studies were carried out the cross sections of vegetative organs of studied taxa. Also, transverse sections of leaves were taken by hand and stomata were examined and stomata index were calculated. B. heldreichii is characterized with peridermis in roots, narrow pith region in stems, equifacial mesophyll and sinuous epidermis cell walls in leaves. In spite of this B. lophacarpum has epidermis in its roots, large pith region in its stems, equifacial mesophyll, and smooth epidermis cell walls in its leaves. Besides, anatomical measurements and calculations about Bupleurum heldreichii and Bupleurum lophocarpum were given in table and the similarities and the differences between taxa have been discussed

Türkiye’den Bupleurum heldreichii Boiss. & Bal. ve Bupleurum lophocarpum Boiss. & Bal. Apiaceae Üzerine anatomik bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Apiaceae familyasına ait Bupleurum L. cinsinin Türkiye endemiği iki taksonu olan Bupleurum heldreichii Boiss. & Bal. ve Bupleurum lophocarpum Boiss. & Bal.’ın anatomik özellikleri belirlenmiştir. Anatomik çalışmalar incelenen taksonların vejetatif organlarının enine kesitleri ile yapılmıştır. Ayrıca, yaprak yüzeysel kesitleri el ile alınmış ve stomalar incelenmiş ve stoma indeksi hesaplanmıştır. B. heldreichii, köklerde peridermis, gövdede dar öz bölgesi, ekvifasiyal mezofil ve yapraklarda dalgalı epidermis hücre duvarları ile karakterize edilmiştir. Buna karşın, B. lophacarpum köklerinde epidermis, gövdelerinde geniş öz bölgesi, ekvifasiyal mezofil ve yapraklarında düz epidermis hücre duvarlarına sahiptir. Buna ek olarak, Bupleurum heldreichii ve Bupleurum lophocarpum taksonları hakkındaki anatomik ölçümler ve hesaplamalar tabloda verilmiş ve taksonlar arasındaki benzerlikler ve farklılıklar tartışılmıştır
