Taxonomy and IUCN categories of two Alcea L. Malvaceae species cited in the data deficient DD category

Abstract

Alcea is represented with 18 species in the Flora of Turkey. This study presents the taxonomy and threatened categories of two Alcea L. Malvaceae species: A. fasciculiflora Zohary and A. pisidica Hub.-Mor. These species were previously placed in the data deficient DD category in the Red Data Book of Turkish Plants. Descriptions, localities, distribution map and images of the species are given. According to IUCN 2001 threatened categories of the species were determined as CR

Yetersiz veri DD kategorisinde bulunan iki Alcea L. Malvaceae türünün yeni IUCN kategorileri ve taksonomisi

Abstract

Türkiye Florası’nda Alcea cinsi 18 türle temsil edilmektedir. Bu çalışma iki Alcea L. Malvaceae türünün: A. fasciculiflora Zohary ve A. pisidica Hub.-Mor. taksonomisini ve tehlike kategorilerini içermektedir. Bu bitkiler daha önce Türkiye Bitkileri Kırmızı Kitabı’nda Yetersiz Veri DD kategorisinde yer almıştır. Türlerin betimleri, lokaliteleri, yayılış haritası ve resimleri verilmiştir. IUCN 2001’e göre türlerin yeni tehlike kategorileri CR olarak belirlenmiştir
