Determination of dependent variable by quantitative analysis for the classification on forest sites in the translation zone of Mediterrenian Region

Year 2008, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 75 - 88, 01.01.2008

Abstract

Determination of the relation between the distribution of plant species and environmental factors is important in terms of classification and mapping on forest sites. Hence, the groups belonging to sample plots according to plant species and indicator species of this groups mean independence variable for forest site classification. There are many statistical methots in order to classify the sample plots according to plant species. One of them is normal association analysis. Normal association analysis is a nonparametric methot which supply to divide hierarchical to the quatrats according to plant species. In this study, it has been obtained 6 groups in accordance with normal association analysis for 55 quatrats in Gencek Site Section Group belonging to translatin zone of Mediterrean region. Pyrus elaegnifolia, Quercus trojana, Euphorbia ssp., Acer platonoides and Juniperus oxycedrus has been divided to the quatrats into groups. Thus, it has been obtained dependent classification variable to supply to determinate to the factors effecting on distribution of plant species. Finally, significant environmental factors can be determineted for classification on forest sites in determining the relationships between independent variable and environmental factors

Akdeniz Bölgesi’nin geçiş zonunda yetişme ortamı sınıflandırması için bağımlı değişkenin analitik olarak belirlenmesi

Year 2008, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 75 - 88, 01.01.2008
