This
study was carried out to investigate population fluctations of Thysanoptera
(thrips) species in the vineyards in Mardin Province, in
2012-2013. In order to determine thrips population densities, visual sticky traps and the shaking methods
were used. Surveys were
conducted at weekly intervals in 2 vineyards in 1 districts between March and
November. According to plant phenological stages, harmful thrips species in
vineyards were the first seen
in April, as
vineyards were flowering and budding
in May and June, in which and their densities and damage were the highest.
