Plant parasitic nematodes of Tylenchida (Nematoda) associated with pear (<em>Pyrus communis </em>L.) orchards in Ankara district
Abstract
In this study, plant parasitic species of Tylenchida (Nematoda) in pear (Pyrus communis L.) orchards in Ankara district are examined in taxonomic aspect. In 2003, during the summer months, when adult Tylenchida species are more abundant, soil and plant root samples were taken from 20 pear orchard. From these samples, nematodes were extracted, prepared and the ones belonging to Tylenchida were measured and identified.
As a result, totally 35 species were determined belonging 18 genus of 10 subfamilies of 6 families of Tylenchoidea, Anguinoidea, Hoplolaimoidea, Dolichodoridea, Tylenchuloidea superfamilies of Tylenchina, Criconematina and Hoplolaimina suborders of Tylenchida order.
Among these species; Filenchus andrassyi (Szczygiel) Andrassy, Filenchus sheri (Khan & Khan) Siddiqi, Coslenchus franklinea Siddiqi, Basiria hiberna Bernard, Basiria shahidi Khanand Paratylenchus nawadus Khan, Prasad & Mathurare determined for the first time in the Nematoda fauna of Turkey.
