The population growth of <em>Cyrtopeltis tenius</em> Reut. (Hem.: Miridae) and Whitefly [(<em>Bemisia tabaci</em> Genn., <em>Trialeurodes vaporariorum</em> West. (Hem.: Aleyrodidae)] in IPM implemented tomato greenhouses in Aegean Region
Abstract
Cyrtopeltis tenius Reut. (Hemiptera: Miridae) and whitefly [(Bemisia tabaci Genn., Trialeurodes vaporariorum West. (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) ] population growth, and their relationship were investigated in IPM implemented single production of tomato greenhouses in Mugla Province of Aegean Region. C. tenius was not determined in fall, the maximum density was 0,13 adult/leaf and 0,4 nymph/leaf in spring in 2002-2003, and 0,02 ve 0,05 adult/leaf, 0,07 and 0,03 nymph/leaf in autumn and spring, respectively, in 2003-2004. Maximum density of whitefly population was 61,8 and 1506,4 adult/trap/week; 0,1 and 1,9 larva+pupa/leaf in autumn and spring, respectively in 2002-2003, and 5,20 and 245 adult/trap/week; 0,04 and 0,8 larva+pupa/leaf in autumn and spring, respectively in 2003-2004. C. tenius population was developed independent from whitefly, however the population density increased when white population was high.
