Determination of carboxylesterase-related insecticide resistance in <em>Myzus persicae</em> (Sulz.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) by spectrophometer and electrophoresis.

Abstract

Carboxylesterase-related insecticide resistance in six different populations of Myzus persicae (Sulz.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae) collected from Izmir, Antalya, Ankara and Icel was investigated by spectrophometer and electrophoresis. Total carboxylesterase activities of three resistant populations from Icel were found as extremely high levels comparing to the others. The carboxylesterase E4/FE4 bands determined with polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were also intense in all Icel populations.

Abstract

Myzus persicae (Sulz.) (Hemiptera: Aphididae)’nin İzmir, Antalya, Ankara
ve İçel’den toplanan 6 farklı popülasyonunda insektisitlere direnç ile ilişkili olan
karboksilesteraz enzimi spektrofotometre ve elektroforez ile incelenmiştir. İçel’den
toplanan ve dirençli olan 3 popülasyonun toplam karboksilesteraz aktiviteleri diğer
popülasyonlara göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Bu popülasyonların poliakrilamid
jel elektroforez ile incelenen karboksilesteraz E4/FE4 bantları da diğer
popülasyonlara göre daha kalındır.
