Oribatid Mites (Acari: Oribatida) known and new to </strong><strong>Turkish fauna from black pine (<em>Pinus nigra</em> J.F. Arnold)
Abstract
Oribatid mite species were surveyed on Pinus nigra in Turkey between 1999-2003. Plant samples were collected from Ankara, Karabük and Mersin. Berlese funnels technique was used to extract the mites from bark and needle. Five oribatid mite species belonging to four families were identified. They are: Acrotritia ardua ardua (C. L. Koch, 1841) (Euphthiracaridae); Phthiracarus lentulus (C. L. Koch, 1841), Steganacarus (Tropacarus) patruelis Niedbala, 1983 (Phthiracaridae); Heminothrus (Platynothrus) peltifer (C. L. Koch, 1839) (Camisiidae) and Oribatula (Zygoribatula) lanceolata Grobler, Bayram, Cobanoğlu, 2004 (Oribatulidae). P. lentulus and H. (P.) peltifer are new records for Turkish fauna.

Abstract
Türkiye'denoribatid akar türleri karaçam (Pinus nigra J.F. Arnold) üzerinden 1999-2003 yılları arasında toplanmıştır. Örnekler Ankara, Karabük ve Mersin bölgelerinden toplanmıştır. Örneklerin kabuk ve ibrelerden ayrılmasında Berlese huni tekniği kullanılmıştır. Dört familyaya ait beş akar türü saptanmıştir. Bunlar; Acrotritia ardua ardua (C. L. Koch, 1841) (Euphthiracaridae); Phthiracarus lentulus (C. L. Koch, 1841), Steganacarus (Tropacarus) patruelis Niedbala, 1983 (Phthiracaridae); Heminothrus (Platynothrus) peltifer (C. L. Koch, 1839) (Camisiidae) ve Oribatula (Zygoribatula) lanceolata Grobler, Bayram, Cobanoğlu, 2004 (Oribatulidae) dır. Bu türlerden P. lentulus ve H. (P.) peltifer Türkiye faunası için yeni kayıttır.
