Adults Dolycoris baccarum L. (Het.: Pentatomidae) were collected from under plants of Verbascum spp. in the last week of March. They were kept in cages under controlled condition such as 25±2ºC temperature, 60-70% humidity, 3500 lux light and 16:8 hour photoperiodicity. Seeds of sunflower, sesame, tobacco, soybean, turnip, cabbage, peanut, anise, carrot, fennel, wheat, poppy, parsley, peppergrass and tobacco plant were used as food. New D. baccarum generations were grown from eggs of initial D. baccarum. These new D. baccarum generations were reared with six different food group and one artificial diet as one male and one female for each group and biological parameters of these adults were determined. Rearing experiments were repeated for three consecutive D. baccarum generation. Additionally, the eggs obtained from second generation of D. baccarum were also researched in terms of Trissolcus semistriatus Nees (Hym.: Scelionidae) parasitization.
Results showed that the sixth food group (sunflower soybean, peanut, canarygrass) was provided the highest number of egg per female in rearing experiment for all generation. However the first (sunflower anise, soybean, turnip) and second food group (peanut, carrot, canary seed, fennel) were also given very close egg yield to do sixth group. Similar results were also determined in parasitization tests. The lowest values belong to fecundity and parasitization were determined on artificial diet.
