Abstract

In this study; the
oppioid mites, collected from the southern part of the Amanos Mountains in
2012, 2016 and 2017 years, were evaluated taxonomically. Standard methods for
the extracting, fixing, preserving of oribatid mites from the material collected
were used. The identification of mites was made based on light and scanning
electron microscope studies and literature. In conclusion; totally 7 taxa of
oppioid mites representing three families, Epimerellidae Ayyildiz and Luxton,
1989, Oppiidae Sellnick, 1937 and Quadroppiidae Balogh, 1983 were determined.
These are namely Epimerella smirnovi
longisetosa
Kulijev, 1967, Discoppia (Cylindroppia) cylindrica cylindrica (Pérez-Íñigo, 1965), Rhinoppia (R.) heterotricha (Ivan and
Vasiliu, 1997), Moritzoppia unicarinata
unicarinata
(Paoli, 1908), Oppiella (O.)
nova uliginosa
(Willmann, 1919), Ramusella
(Rectoppia) mihelcici (Pérez-Íñigo, 1965), Quadroppia
(Coronoquadroppia) michaeli michaeli Mahunka, 1977 and recorded
for the first time in Turkey.

Abstract

Bu çalışmada; 2012, 2016 ve 2017 yıllarında Amanos
Dağları’nın güney kesiminden toplanan oppioid akarlar taksonomik bakımdan değerlendirilmiştir.
Toplanan materyalden akarların özütlenmesi, tespiti, muhafazası ve
preparasyonunda bilinen yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Akarların tanısı, ışık ve
tarama elektron mikroskobu incelemeleri ve literatüre dayanarak yapılmıştır.
Sonuç olarak; Epimerellidae Ayyıldız and Luxton, 1989, Oppiidae Sellnick, 1937
ve Quadroppiidae Balogh, 1983 familyalarına ait toplam 7 oppioid akar taksonu
tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar Epimerella
smirnovi longisetosa
Kulijev, 1967, Discoppia
(Cylindroppia) cylindrica cylindrica (Pérez-Íñigo,
1965), Rhinoppia (R.) heterotricha
(Ivan and Vasiliu, 1997), Moritzoppia
unicarinata unicarinata
(Paoli, 1908), Oppiella
(O.) nova uliginosa (Willmann, 1919), Ramusella (Rectoppia)
mihelcici
(Pérez-Íñigo, 1965) ve Quadroppia
(Coronoquadroppia) michaeli michaeli Mahunka, 1977 olup,
Türkiye’den ilk defa kaydedilmişlerdir.
