Astronomy in the Seljuks of Turkey
Abstract
In this working our aim is takingup the working which was making in astronomy area in Turkey Seljuks Period and same scholars life that worked in this area. The Turkish beated the Byzantine Empir eafter the Malazgirt War in 1071 and started to dominate Anatolia land. They continued activities to proveevents in social, cultural, political areasetc. By the way this events included astronomy-astrology workings which are reserved a very important place. It was possible that coincided scholars who was interested in astrology and astronomy in King’s palaces and Moslem theological schools. Because of its intercontinental transition point lots of scholars and scientists have stopped by Anatolia they have contributed to Anatolia scientific culture.
