Nursaid Polater was born in Van, Turkey in 1991. He received a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University, Turkey, in 2014; an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering for Renewable and Sustainable Energy from the University of Nottingham, U.K., in 2017; and a Ph.D. in the Department of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Birmingham, U.K., in 2023. During his doctoral studies, he was a member of the Birmingham Centre for Railway Research and Education (BCRRE).
Following the completion of his Ph.D., he joined the eDrive System team at AVL Hungary Kft. as a Software & Function Engineer. Dr. Polater is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Yozgat Bozok University in Yozgat, Turkey. His research focuses on electric machines, drives and power electronics, multi-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors, and the modeling and control of renewable hybrid traction systems for electric vehicles.
