Ethical Principles

The ethical principles applied by the Bozok Journal of Engineering and Architecture are presented below.

- Adding an ethics committee report is mandatory for studies that require ethics committee approval.
- A double-blind peer review process is applied where the reviewers cannot see the author(s) and the author(s) cannot see the reviewers.
- The manuscripts submitted to the journal must not have been previously published in another journal, accepted for publication, or under evaluation for publication.
- The Copyright Transfer Form, in which the author(s) acknowledge their responsibilities regarding the study, must be signed by all authors and submitted to the journal at the first submission stage of the study.
- The legal responsibility arising from the content of the studies published in the journal belongs entirely to the author(s).
- The results of the research should be presented openly and honestly, without false, fabricated, and inappropriate data manipulation.
- The author(s) must provide references for all citations used in the study and all responsibility in this regard belongs to the author(s). References should be entered into the system separately by the journal's brand at the stage of entering the article into the system.
- It should be noted that all authors have equal responsibility for ethical principles.
- Similarity rate control for all studies is performed in the system. This report is automatically uploaded to the system during the first submission to the journal. As a result of the report, articles with 20% or more similarity are not evaluated.

- The author is responsible for uploading the following three files for the articles that require revisions as a result of the referee evaluations:
1. Manuscript file where the corrections made are shown with yellow text padding,
2. Manuscript revision file where the corrections are not indicated by text padding,
3. Reply file to referees

- Bozok Journal of Engineering and Architecture acts by the principles described by the Code of Conduct of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (https://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct) and publishes articles that comply not only with the principles of transparency but also with the rules set by COPE for best scientific practice.
