Abstract

Abstract

Chilaiditi sign is the presence of gas image between liver and diaphragm in plain radiographs as th hepato-diaphragmatic interposition of the colon. The specific symptoms and presentation of Chilaiditi’s syndrome can vary greatly from one person to another. Although this syndrome is frequently asymptomatic, gastrointestinal system symptoms are prominent in symptomatic patients. The disease is a benign constellation and rareyl, serious complications such as volvulus, intestinal adhesions and obstruction may develop in the clinical course. The general approach in the treatment of patients diagnosed is conservative. In this article, we present a case of Chilaiditi syndrome who presented with anemia symptoms and was diagnosed incidentally.
