Abstract
Amaç/Gerekçe: Bu editöre mektubun amacı, Bozok Tıp Dergisi'nde yayımlanan göz travması hastalarının acil serviste değerlendirilmesine yönelik retrospektif çalışmaya ilişkin metodolojik ve klinik perspektifler sunmaktır.
Yöntemler: Fındık ve arkadaşlarının yayımlanmış makalesi acil tıp pratiği, multidisipliner yaklaşım ve hasta sonuçları açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın güçlü yönleri ve geliştirilmesi gereken alanlar sistematik olarak analiz edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Çalışma, göz travmasının demografik özelliklerini ve risk faktörlerini kapsamlı şekilde ortaya koymuştur. Ancak, acil serviste triage süreci, multidisipliner konsültasyon zamanlaması ve standardize muayene protokolleri hakkında ek bilgiler çalışmanın klinik değerini artırabilir.
Sonuçlar: Göz travması yönetiminde acil tıp hekimlerinin rolü ve multidisipliner ekip yaklaşımının önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Gelecek çalışmalarda triage protokolleri ve hasta sonuçlarını etkileyen faktörlerin daha detaylı analizi önerilmektedir.

Abstract
Background/Aims: This letter to the editor aims to provide methodological and clinical perspectives on the retrospective study evaluating ocular trauma patients in the emergency department published in Bozok Medical Journal.
Methods: The published article by Fındık et al. was evaluated in terms of emergency medicine practice, multidisciplinary approach, and patient outcomes. The strengths of the study and areas for improvement were systematically analyzed.
Results: The study comprehensively revealed the demographic characteristics and risk factors of ocular trauma. However, additional information about the triage process in the emergency department, timing of multidisciplinary consultation, and standardized examination protocols could enhance the clinical value of the study.
Conclusions: The role of emergency physicians in ocular trauma management and the importance of multidisciplinary team approach are emphasized. Future studies should include more detailed analysis of triage protocols and factors affecting patient outcomes.
