YÜZ BÖLGESİNDE YERLEŞMİŞ İKİ TİNEA İNKOGNİTO OLGUSU

Abstract

Tinea inkognito yanlış tanı alıp, sistemik ya da topikal kortikosteroid uygulanmış, der- matofit infeksiyonları için kullanılan bir terimdir. Olgularımızda dermatofit infeksiyonu yüz bölgesinde yerleşmişti. Steroid kullanma hikayeleri pozitifti. Mikroskopik bakılarında mantara ait hifa ve sporlar gözlendi. Uyguladığımız sistemik ve topikal antimikotik teda- viye iyi yanıt verdi. Sonuç olarak, tinea inkognito nadir görülen bir tablo olmayıp ampirik uygulanan steroid tedavileri nedeniyle farklı klinik şekillerde görülebilir. Bu nedenle ati- pik, eritemli ve pullanan plakları olan olgularda dermatofitoz varlığının akılda tutulması gerektiği ve uygun antifungal tedavi ile iyileşme sağlanabileceği unutulmamalıdır.

Two Cases of Tinea Incognito with Facial Localization

Abstract

Tinea incognito is used to describe dermatophyte infections that diagnosed incorrectly and treated with topical or systemic corticosteroids. Two patients with dermatophyte infections in facial ocalization are presented. They had a history of treatment with steroids. Microscobic examination revealed hyphae and spores. The patients responded to topical and systemic antimicotic treatment. As a result, tinea incognito is not a rare clinical entity and can be presented with different clinical forms due to ampirical steroid treatments. Thus, in the cases of atypical, erythematous and scaly plaques, it should not be forgetten that the existence of dermatophytosis should be kept in mind and recovery can be achieved with appropriate antifungal therapy.
