Abstract

ÖZET

Konjenital diyafragma hernilerinin % 1-6’sını oluşturan Morgagni hernisi, anteriyor, parasternal

veya retrosternal diyafragma hernisi olarak da bilinir. Çocuklarda dispne, öksürük, hırıltı atakları

veya gastrointestinal bulgularla ortaya çıkabilir ya da erişkin yaşlara kadar asemptomatik kalabilir.

Burada öksürük şikayeti ile hastaneye başvurmuş, tek taraflı solunum sesleri az duyulduğu

için çekilen akciğer grafisi ile Morgagni hernisi tanısı almış olan bir olgu sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmanın

amacı; nadir görülse de solunum veya gastrointestinal sistem bulgularıyla başvuran her

yaştaki hastada Morgagni hernisinin ayırıcı tanıda akılda tutulması gerektiğini vurgulamaktır.

ABSTRACT

Morgagni hernia, which constitutes 1-6’s % of congenital diaphragmatic hernia is also known as

anterior, parasternal or retrosternal hernia. Patients may remain asymptomatic until adulthood

or in children it can present with dyspnea, cough, wheezing episodes or gastrointestinal

symptoms. Patient applied to hospital with coughing complaint, diagnosis as Morgagni hernia

with a chest xray because of having reduced unilateral lung sounds was presented in this case

report. Although Morgagni hernia is rarely seen, this case is presented to emphasize that

you need to keep in mind in the differential diagnosis in patients of all ages presenting with

respiratory or gastrointestinal symptoms.
