Paraovarian Cyst in a Cat

Abstract

A 4-year-old, female, tabby breed cat was referred to Atatürk University, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Animal Hospital due to the history of irregular heats. According to the anamnesis obtained from the owners, it was informed that the cat often indicated heat symptoms, more vocal than normal, and became very angry. The cat, with the owner's permission, was neutered. Prior to surgery, there was no abnormality general and hematological examination and the cat was prepared for the operation. During the ovariohysterectomy, pathological formations filled with clear fluid with a diameter of 3 mm around the left and right ovary were detected. It is determined macroscopically to be a paraovarian cyst; the right, left ovary, and corn were extirpated at the bifurcation level. Follow-up surgery, the information received from the owners, the behavioral disorders completely disappeared within four days.

Bir Kedide Paraovaryan Kist

Abstract

Atatürk Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesine 4 yaşlı, dişi, tekir cinsi bir kedi sürekli kızgınlık göstermesi şikayetiyle getirildi. Hasta sahibinden alınan anamnez bilgisine göre kedinin çok sık kızgınlık gösterdiği, normalden daha farklı ses çıkardığı ve çok hırçınlaştığı bilgisi alındı. Hasta sahibinin onayı alınarak, kedinin kısırlaştırılmasına karar verildi. Operasyon öncesi yapılan rutin genel ve kan muayenesinde herhangi bir problem ile karşılaşılmayan kedi operasyon için hazırlandı. Ovaryohisterektomi operasyonu yapılan kedide, operasyon esnasında sol ve sağ ovaryumun çevresinde yaklaşık 3 mm çapında içi berrak sıvı dolu patolojik oluşumlar tespit edildi. Makroskopik olarak paraovaryan kist tanısı konuldu. Her iki ovaryum ve kornun ligasyonundan sonra bifurkasyo hizasında ekstirpe edilerek uzaklaştırıldı. Operasyonun ardından davranış bozukluklarının 4 gün içerisinde tamamen kaybolduğu bilgisi hasta sahibinden alındı.
