Kedi ve Köpeklerde Görülen Yaygın Göz Hastalıkları: Retrospektif Çalışma (2018-2019)

Abstract

Kedi ve köpeklerde göz hastalıkları doğuştan veya sonradan edinilmiş; enfeksiyöz ajanların veya metabolik bozuklukların bir yansıması olabileceği gibi, lokal olarak tahriş edici veya alerjik nedenlerle de görülebilir. Sunulan bu çalışmada Selçuk Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı kliniğine 2018-2019 yılları arasında getirilen 5000 hastadan göz hastalığı tanısı konan farklı yaş, cinsiyet ve ırktaki 78 (%46,43) kedi ve 90 (%53,57) köpekte sık görülen göz hastalıklarının dağılımı ve tedavi seçeneklerinin tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Tüm olgularda inspeksiyon ve takiben oftalmoskop ve slit lamp ile muayene gerçekleştirildi, ardından olgulara göre schirmer I gözyaşı testi, fluorescein boyama ve göz içi basınç artışı şüpheli olgularda tonometri ile muayene yapıldı. Muayeneler sonucunda kedilerde daha çok konjonktivit (%42,31 n=33), keratit (%15,58 n=12), panoftalmit (%6,41 n=5), köpeklerde ise konjonktivit (%24,44 n=22), entropion (%14,44 n=13), cherry eye (%12,22 n=11), keratit (%11,11 n=10) ile karşılaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, kedi ve köpeklerde en yaygın karşılaşılan göz hastalığının konjonktivit olduğu sonucuna varıldı. Erken teşhis ve tedavi için rutin göz muayenesi ve uygulanacak uygun tedavi protokolü oldukça önemlidir.
