About the journal
Following the discussion of the publication of the journals in the electronic environment at the Academic Committee of Ankara University Beypazarı Vocational School, Ankara University's Journal Publication Commission has come to the agenda on 27/05/2009 date meeting. Following the decision of the same commission meeting on 02/07/2009, it was decided to issue "Journal of Banking and Insurance Review" with the decision of Ankara University Board of Directors dated 21/07/2009. The first issue of the journal published in 2010.
Journal of Banking and Insurance is a biannual online open access and peer-reviewed journal. It is published by Ankara University Beypazarı Vocational School. Articles in Turkish and English languages are accepted.
JBIR is a specialized journal that covers banking and insurance in Turkey and around the world. The journal publishes original research and reviews of books covered by JBIR's scope. Special issues may also be published.
If it is necessary and appropriate, research and practices in the secondary scope which are gold, gold accounts, gold market, foreign exchange, foreign currency accounts, foreign exchange market, exchange rates, interest rates, share of banks, capital markets, items constituting the assets and liabilities of banks and insurance companies, balance sheet items of central banks and balance sheet items of payments also, will be evaluated.
