Dr. Halil SAROL Almanya’da doğmuştur. Lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora eğitimini Gazi Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesinde tamamlamıştır. Doktora tez konusu “Uyarlanmış Rekreasyonel Fiziksel Aktivitenin Otizmli Bireylerin Yaşam Kalitesi Üzerine Etkisi” isimli çalışmadır. 2005-2015 yılları arasında Gazi Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Spor Yöneticiliği Bölümünde öğretim elemanı olarak görev yapmıştır. 2005-2011 yılları arasında Gazi Üniversitesi Doğa Sporları ve Arama Kurtarma Merkezi Başkan Yardımcılığı görevlerini yürütmüştür. 2015-2022 yılları arasında Kırıkkale Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Spor Yöneticiliği Bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapan Dr. Halil SAROL, 2016-2022 yılları arasında Spor Yöneticiliği Bölüm Başkanı ve 2016-2020 yılları arasında Dekan Yardımcılığı görevlerini yürütmüştür. Özel gereksinimli bireylere yönelik uygulama alanında birçok projede görev alan Dr. Halil SAROL’un rekreasyon alanı ile özel gereksinimli bireylerde fiziksel aktivite, otizm ve fiziksel aktivite konularında ulusal ve uluslararası alanda birçok bilimsel çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Sherborne Gelişimsel Hareket Eğitimi I. ve II. Düzey sertifika sahibi olan Dr. Halil SAROL halen Gazi Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Rekreasyon Bölümünde öğretim üyesi görev yapmaktadır.
Professor Şebnem Şarvan Cengiz, PhD, is a faculty member in the Department of Coaching Education at the Faculty of Sport Sciences, Manisa Celal Bayar University, Türkiye. She received her bachelor’s degree from Gazi University, her master’s degree from Harran University, and her PhD in Health Sciences from Gazi University.
Her research interests include exercise physiology, training science, performance analysis, sport psychophysiology, female athlete health, cognitive performance, and research methods in sport sciences. Her recent work has focused on heart rate variability (HRV), cognitive load, neurophysiological assessment (EEG and fNIRS), high-intensity exercise, female athletes, and performance optimization.
Professor Cengiz has authored numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and conference papers published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including journals indexed in SCI/SCIE. She actively supervises master’s and doctoral students and contributes to the development of young researchers through research projects and graduate education.
In addition to her academic research, Professor Cengiz is actively involved in quality assurance and accreditation in higher education. She serves as an external evaluator for SPORAK (Sports Sciences Education Programs Accreditation Board) and the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council (THEQC/YÖKAK), participating in accreditation and institutional evaluation processes for higher education programs.
Professor Cengiz adopts an interdisciplinary perspective in her research, integrating physiological, psychological, and cognitive dimensions of sport performance to advance evidence-based practice in sport sciences.
Dr. García-Fernández conducts research in the field of Sport Management; Digitalization and Sport Innovation; fitness management, private sport businesses and consumer behavior.
