The aim of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences is to examine the current developments in the field of sports sciences in a holistic and comprehensive manner and to share original articles and reviews that have emerged in this direction with the target audience. For this purpose, the journal is in the field of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Movement and Training Sciences, Biomechanics and Kinesiology, Sports Education, Sport Health Sciences, Sports Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Sport Anatomy, Exercise and Sport Psychology, Sport. It publishes studies in the fields of Sociology, Sport Philosophy, Sport Information Technology, Sports Management Sciences, Sports Management, Sports Marketing, Organization in Sports, Recreation, Recreation Leadership, Sport Tourism. In addition, due to the interdisciplinary nature of sports, original research at the intersection points with different scientific fields, reviews based on in-depth analysis and interpretations, and letters to the Editor are also published in our journal. It is expected that scientific articles and theoretical or experimental research or practical applications in the field of sports sciences will contain new data.
Physical Education and Sport Sciences Journal is a peer-reviewed journal that has been published since 2007 and is published three times a year (March, August, December). The language of the journal is Turkish and English. The journal includes quantitative and qualitative research on all fields of sports sciences, review studies evaluating the latest literature comprehensively, model suggestions and similar original articles. Writing Rules
Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
Refereed articles are studies that ensure the application of the scientific method and impartiality. In the realization of scientific production, all components of the publication process; publishers, editors, authors, referees and readers must comply with ethical principles. In this context, the publication ethics and open access policy of Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, in line with the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in open access (such as, the "Publication Ethics Committee (COPE)) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors, “Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” and “COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”) require that all components of the publishing process comply with ethical principles.
Authors should also upload the plagiarism report when uploading the work. Plagiarism is the most common and serious ethical issue affecting scientific writing. Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Physical Education and Sports Sciences tries to take the necessary precautions in order not to allow any form of plagiarism. In addition, articles are scanned with a plagiarism software (iTenthicate, Turnitin) to detect overlapping and similar text samples. Articles with a similarity score of more than 20% are not accepted for publication.
