Abstract
Throughout history, Bilecik hosted several different civilisations due to its location. Ottoman Empire is undoubtedly the most important of these civilisations for Bilecik. Hamsu valley in Bilecik has special importance for the Ottoman Empire as the first Ottoman settlement was established within the Hamsu valley in Bilecik. From a humble beginning to being one of the longest-standing empires, the Ottomans reigned from the 13th century to the 20th century and is one of the longest-standing empires in history. This article is about a project proposal for ensuring the cultural continuance and sustainability of the Ottoman settlement in the Hamsu valley. In addition, several suggestions are made for protecting the area from environmental factors and potential applications for opening the area for visitors. With this proposal, we discussed how to use the archaeological site in Hamsu Valley more efficiently, including evaluating the area in terms of education, science, and tourism. In particular, regarding protecting the artefacts of the Ottoman settlement in the valley by starting an archeopark project to ensure the safe deliverance of the cultural values present in Hamsu valley to future generations.
