Extended Abstract

• Extended Abstract is a method that will facilitate the international readability and citation of articles. The extended abstract is useful for researchers and readers who scan relevant databases on a global scale. However, the extended abstract, in which the problem, purpose, method and results of the study will be discussed in more detail than the traditional abstract, also paves the way for international citation of the articles as it will be in English.

• Extended Abstract will be prepared in English for Turkish articles and in Turkish for English articles.

• The extended abstract must be prepared during the initial application and included in the article template.

• The extended abstract should be at least 500 and at most 750 words long, and should include the following subheadings:


Subheadings to be used in the Extended Abstract

Research Problem: Explanation of the purpose and context of the study (2-3 sentences).

Research Questions: Clearly state the research questions.

Literature Review: Briefly state the method of the literature review (which databases were used, what kind of sources were accessed, etc.), its purpose and the general trend of the sources reached (what the points where previous research on this subject intersected or diverged were, etc.).

Methodology: Describe your work as qualitative, quantitative, critical, or mixed. Describe your work as a case study, essay, survey, etc. Explain how you have selected participants and how many people you have recruited. Define your method for data collection. Describe your analysis techniques.

Results and Conclusions: Main findings, key conclusions, conclusions and/or recommendations regarding research objectives/questions

Health management, nursing, social work, midwifery, child development, occupational therapy, orthotics and prosthesis,
speech and language therapy, audiology, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, nutrition and dietetics, other multidisciplinary studies.
