Aile Hekimi ve Pediatristlerin Geleneksel ve Tamamlayıcı Tıbba (GETAT) Bakışı

Abstract

Amaç: Son yıllarda ülkemizde ve tüm dünyada isimlendirilmesinde hâlâ fikir birliği sağlanmamış olan, bir dizi geleneksel, tamamlayıcı tıp uygulamaları hekimler/hekim dışı kişilerce uygulanır hale gelmiştir. Hekimlerin bu gelişmelere bakışı merak edilmekte ve hastaların GETAT ile ilgili uygulamalar konusunda soruları olmaktadır. Biz de hedef grup olarak Pediatrist ve Aile Hekimlerinin GETAT Uygulamalarına Bakışı, Yaklaşımı ve Bilgi Düzeylerini ölçmeyi amaçladık. 

Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu çalışma; Nisan-Haziran 2019 aylarında Aile Hekimleri ve Pediatristler ile Google online anket aracılığıyla yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak; gerekli literatür taraması sonucunda oluşturulan 33 soru katılımcılara online olarak yöneltilmiştir.

Bulgular: Çalışmaya 106 kişi katıldı. Katılımcıların %69’u Aile Hekimi, %31’i pediatrist idi. Aile hekimlerinin GETAT sertifikası sahip olma oranı pediatristlere göre anlamlı derecede yüksekti. Bu uygulamaları hekimlerin %47’si hastalarına önerebileceklerini ifade ederken, %22’si önermeyeceğini söyledi, geri kalanı (%31) kararsızdı. Pediatristler, aile hekimlerine göre GETAT uygulamalarını daha az tavsiye ediyordu. Hekimler; %51 oranda GETAT yöntemlerini faydalı bulurken, %18’i faydasız buldu. GETAT konusunda bilgi düzeyi sorgulandı. Hiç yok %7, Az %54, Orta %28, İyi %8, Çok iyi %3 idi. “GETAT uygulamlarının koruyucu hekimliklik uygulamaları açısından olumlu etkilerinin olup olmayacağını” sorduğumuzda %48’i olumlu katkı sunacağını düşünüyordu. 

Sonuç: GETAT konusunda bilgi düzeylerinin iki büyük hekim grubu olan Aile Hekimleri ve Pediatrilerde yeterli düzeyde olmadığı, eğitimin hiçbir aşamasında geleneksel ve tamamlayıcı tıp ile ilgili bir eğitim almamakla birlikte Türk toplumunun bunu pratikte kullanıyor olması bu konuda bilimsel çalışmalar yapmayı ve bilgi sahibi olmayı zorunlu kılmakta, tutum ve davranışların daha doğru alınması sonucunu doğuracaktır.

Traditional and Complementary Medicine View of Family Physician and Pediatrists

Abstract

Objective: In recent years, a number of traditional, complementary medicine applications, which have not been agreed on in our country and all over the world, have been implemented by physicians / non-physicians. Physicians' views on these developments are curious and patients have questions about GETAT-related practices. As a target group, we aimed to measure Pediatrist and Family Physicians' GETAT Approaches, Approaches and Knowledge Levels.

Method: This descriptive study; It was conducted in April-June 2019 with Family Doctors and Pediatricians via Google online survey. As data collection tool; 33 questions were asked to the participants online.

Results: 106 participants participated in the study. 69% of the participants were family physicians and 31% were pediatricians. The rate of family physicians having GETAT certificate was significantly higher than that of pediatricians. While 47% of physicians stated that they could recommend these practices to their patients, 22% said they would not, and the rest (31%) were undecided. Pediatricians were less likely to recommend GETAT than family physicians. Physicians; While 51% found GETAT methods useful, 18% found it useless. The level of knowledge about GETAT was questioned. None 7%, Less 54%, Medium 28%, Good 8%, Very good 3%. When we asked “whether GETAT applications will have positive effects in terms of preventive medicine practices’, 48% thought that they would contribute positively.

Conclusion: The fact that the level of knowledge about GETAT is not sufficient in the family physicians and pediatricians who are two major physician groups and that there is no education about traditional and complementary medicine at any stage of the education, the fact that the Turkish society uses it in practice necessitates scientific studies and knowledge about this subject. attitudes and behaviors will be taken more accurately.
