Abstract
Several volcanic rock specimens of Paleozoic age from the Sızma - Karatepe region, province of Konya, are described petrographically (Fig. 1). Observations reveal that volcanic rocks of this region were subjected to metamorphism of the glaucophanitic-greenschist facies, as indicated by the presence of stilpnomelane and glaucophane.

Abstract
Karatepe - Sızma bölgesinden alınan Paleozoik yaşlı, volkanik taş numunelerinin petrografik tetkikleri ve tasvirleri yapılmıştır. İncelemeler neticesinde., bu bölge volkanik taşlarının glokofan-yeşil şist fasies metamorfizmasma maruz kaldıkları görülmüş ve bu da stilpnomelan ve glokofan minerallerinin bulunuşu ile teyit edilmiştir.
