Öğretmenlerin Kişilik Özelliklerinin Duygusal Emek Gösterimlerine Etkileri

Year 2012, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 47 - 65, 01.06.2012

Abstract

The Effects of Teachers’ Personalities on Their Emotional Labor Display

Year 2012, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 47 - 65, 01.06.2012

Abstract

In this study, the effects of personal traits on emotional labor displays are examined on 402 teachers working in Ankara district. While the relations between the variables and their effects are asserted with correlation and regression analysis, the structural equation model is used for the validations of scales. According to the findings, five big personalities explain emotional labor significantly as a whole. Especially, at the level of sub-factors, we find positive and significant relationship between neuroticism and surface acting, conscientiousness and deep acting, agreeableness, openness to experience and natural feelings
