İşgörenlerin Örgütsel Sosyalizasyon Düzeylerinin İş Tutumlari Üzerindeki Etkisinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Araştirma

Year 2012, Volume: 9 Issue: 2, 100 - 115, 01.12.2012

Abstract

A Research on Determining The Employees’ Organizational Socialization Levels’ Effects on Their Job Attitudes

Year 2012, Volume: 9 Issue: 2, 100 - 115, 01.12.2012

Abstract

The organizational socialization, which focuses on new employees’ working in a more efficient way by adapting to the organization, to the job, and to the group they work in, is the main subject of this study. This study, which was conducted to investigate three socialization, and job socialization) effect on employees’ organizational commitment, job satisfaction, job stress and job performance levels, was carried out at the iron and steel plant of a holding company which is located in the top 500 industrial companies. The data were collected using face to face survey technique. To measure the dimensions of socialization, a scale developed by Haueter et al. (2003) is preferred, and SPSS 15.0 statistical package program was used to analyze the collected data. In accordance with the analyzes, the results have indicated that employees’ organizational socialization and job socialization levels have a meaningful effect on their organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and performance level. However, group socialization level has no meaningful effect on these variables, and three dimensions of socialization have no meaningful effect on job stress
