The aim of this study was to identify the academic motivations and the worries about unemployment of the students in Faculty of Sport Sciences with regard to the role of their supervisors’ guidance. The research was designed with descriptive and relational survey model, which is one of the general scanning. It consisted of 3 parts. In the first part, the personal information form, in the second part, the Unemployment Anxiety Level scale, which was created and tested by Tayfun and Korkmaz (2016), Finally, the third part contained the Motivation Scale for University Students that was developed by Yılmaz (2018). While the population of the research was Mugla Sıtkı Kocman University, Faculty of Sports Sciences students (N=1000), the sample comprised of 326 students studying at the same university and faculty. After measuring the reliability and normality of the research data, it was seen that it was reliable and showed a normal distribution between +0.5 and -1.0. T-test and one-way analysis of variance were applied to the research data. According to the research findings, it has been determined that there is a significant difference between the mentor's role as a guide and the academic motivation of the students. On the other hand, it has been determined that there is a significant difference between the guiding role of the counsellor and the unemployment concerns of the students. As a result, the faculty members’ reflecting leading and guiding point of view under their supervision increases the academic motivation of the students and decreases their unemployment concerns.
