Tek Taraflı Masif Plevral Efüzyon ile Başvuran Pulmoner Tromboemboli Olgusu

Abstract

Pulmoner tromboemboli (PTE) yaygın, ciddi morbidite ve mortalite ile ilişkili yaşamı tehdit eden bir hastalıktır. Plevral efüzyon, PTE saptanan hastalarda sık görülmektedir, genellikle tek taraflı ve az miktardadır. Bu yazıda, sol hemitoraksta masif plevral efüzyon saptanan, tetkikler sonucunda PTE tanısı alan olgu sunulmuştur. PTE, plevral efüzyonlu hastalarda en sık gözden kaçan hastalıktır. Nedeni belirlenemeyen eksudatif plevral efüzyonlarda düşünülmelidir ve masif efüzyona neden olabileceği unutulmamalıdır.

Abstract

Pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE) is a common, a life threatening disorder associated with serious morbidity and mortality . Pleural effusions are frequently seen in patients with PTE, usually unilateral and small. In this article, a case that massive pleural effusion is diagnosed on the left side of the chest and PTE diagnosed according to test results is presented. PTE is the most commonly overlooked disorder in patients with pleural effusion. It should be considered in exudative pleural effusion of undetermined cause and should not be forgetten that can be the cause of massive effusion.
