The ancient city of Aizanoi is located 48 km to the southwest of Kütahya, Turkey. This study provides information concerning the tomb of a soldier in the Aizanoi northern necropolis, which is dated to the period between mid-first century and the beginning of the rule of Tiberius. The Aizanoi necropolis is located to the east, west, north and south of the settlement. The excavations in the northern necropolis began in 2012 after the problems related to the site were resolved. In the excavations conducted between 2012 and 2014 a total of 41 tombs and 97 individuals graves were found.
Aizanoi antik kenti, Kütahya ilinin 48 km güneybatısına konumlanmıştır. Bu makalede Aizanoi kuzey nekropolis’te bulunan MÖ I. yüzyıl ortaları ile Tiberius dönemi arasına tarihlenen bir askerin mezarı anlatılacaktır. Aizanoi nekropolis’i yerleşimin doğusuna, batısına, kuzeyine ve güneyine konumlandırılmıştır. Kuzey nekropolis’te kazılar 2012 yılında, arazi problemleri çözümlendikten sonra başlamıştır. 2012-2014 yılları arasında yapılan kazılarda ise 41 mezar, 97 birey tespit edilmiştir.
