All manuscripts should be submitted via our online submission system. Click here to access the online manuscript submission system.

Once a paper is submitted to our journal, all co-authors must wait six months from the submission date — or, if the paper has already been accepted, they must wait until it is published and an additional six months passed — before submitting another manuscript to Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1: Mathematics and Statistics (Commun. Fac. Sci. Univ. Ank. Ser. A1. Math. Stat.).

Authors are required to ensure that all items listed below are provided at the time of submission.
1. Main manuscript file (.tex)
(together with all required figure, table, and other auxiliary files needed for compilation, if applicable)

3. Bibliography file (.bib) (uploaded as a supporting file)
4. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Declaration Form (uploaded as a supporting file)
 

Cover Letter

Manuscripts must be submitted along with a Cover Letter prepared using the journal's official template. In the cover letter, authors are required to recommend an appropriate Area Editor, selected from the journal's official list of Area Editors. Additionally, authors should propose four potential reviewers, including their full names, institutional affiliations, and official email addresses. The suggested reviewers must be qualified experts in the relevant research area, with at least two based in different countries. Reviewers must not have any conflicts of interest with the authors (e.g., former or current co-authors, advisors, students, etc.). Authors may also indicate individuals they would prefer not to review the manuscript, providing a clear and detailed justification for each. Please note that while the editorial office is not obligated to follow these suggestions, doing so may help expedite the reviewer selection process.

Preparing the Manuscript

Manuscripts should be typeset using the LaTeX typesetting system. Authors should prepare the article using the Journal's template. To download the LaTeX template click here. Submissions in any other format will not be considered for review.

Title Page

The title page should contain the title of the paper, full names of the authors, affiliations addresses and e-mail addresses of all authors. Authors are also required to submit their Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID)’s which can be obtained from http://orcid.org as their URL address in the format http://orcid.org/xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Please indicate the corresponding author.
Each manuscript should be accompanied by classification numbers from the Mathematics Subject Classification 2020 scheme.

Authors are also required to provide the Research Organization Registry (ROR) identifier for their institutional affiliation, which can be found at https://ror.org.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research. The length of the Abstract should be between 150 to 5000 characters. At least 3 keywords are required.

Math Formulas

Formulas should be numbered consecutively in the parentheses. Authors should ensure that only equations referenced in the main text are numbered. Moreover, all references to equations must be made using the \eqref(???)(???) command.

Tables

All tables must have numbers (TABLE 1) consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text and a legend above the table. Please submit tables as editable text not as images. All tables must be cited in the main text.

Figures

All figures must have numbers (FIGURE 1) consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text and a caption (not on the figure itself) below the figure. Please submit figures as EPS format. All figures must be cited in the main text.

Author Contribution Statements

Author Contribution Statements should be included at the end of the article.

Here are ways to phrase common contribution types more succinctly:

• Conceptualization: Conceived idea, developed concept.
• Methodology: Developed method, designed experiments.
• Software: Coded software, performed programming.
• Formal Analysis: Conducted data analysis, performed statistical analysis.
• Investigation: Performed experiments, collected data.
• Data Curation: Organized data, archived data.
• Writing – Original Draft: Wrote original draft.
• Writing – Review & Editing: Reviewed and edited draft.
• Visualization: Prepared figures, created visualizations.

If all authors contributed equally, the following statement may be used:
Author Contributions: All authors contributed equally to the conception, writing, and revision of this manuscript. All authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript.
 

Declaration of Competing Interests

All manuscripts must contain a Declaration of Competing Interests statement. If no competing interests exist, authors should include the following sentence:
Declaration of Competing Interests: The authors declare that they have no competing interests.

Data Availability Statement

Authors are required to include a Data Availability Statement. If the study does not involve any data, the following statement should be used:
Data Availability Statement: No datasets were generated or analyzed during the current study.

Funding Source Declaration
Authors must include a Funding Source Declaration in their manuscript. If no funding was received, the following statement should be used:
Funding Source Declaration: No funding was received for conducting this study.

Ethical Standard
Authors must state compliance with ethical standards. If the study does not involve human participants or animals, the following statement should be included:
Ethical Standard: This article does not contain any studies with human participants or animals performed by any of the authors.

Declaration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Use
Authors are required to disclose the use of generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools during the manuscript preparation process at the time of submission. If generative AI tools were used, authors must clearly describe how they were utilized. If no generative AI tools were used, the following statement should be included:
Declaration of Generative Artificial Intelligence Use: The authors declare that no generative Artificial Intelligence tools were used in the preparation of this manuscript.
In such cases, authors are required to complete and submit the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage Declaration Form, which is mandatory and can be accessed here.

Acknowledgements
If needed, Acknowledgements should be given at the end of the article, before the references.

References 
Authors are required to use the references.bib file. The bibliography is generated automatically using BibTeX. Journal names may be given either in their full form or using their formal abbreviations; however, consistency must be maintained throughout the bibliography. Only published articles or articles with an assigned DOI are eligible for citation.

When BibTeX is used, the following reference types should be selected appropriately.
• Article (Journal Paper)
Use @article for journal articles.
Required fields typically include: author, title, journal, year, volume, and pages.
• Book
Use @book for authored books.
Required fields typically include: author or editor, title, publisher, and year.
• InCollection (Book Chapter)
Use @incollection for chapters in edited books.
Required fields typically include: author, title, booktitle, editor, publisher, year, and pages.
• InProceedings (Conference Paper)
Use @inproceedings for conference papers.
Required fields typically include: author, title, booktitle, year, and pages.
• Proceedings (Edited Volume)
Use @proceedings for entire conference proceedings volumes.
Required fields typically include: title, editor, year, and publisher.
• PhD Thesis / Master’s Thesis
Use @phdthesis or @mastersthesis.
Required fields typically include: author, title, school, and year.

Use @misc or @online (if supported by the bibliography style).
Authors should include author, title, year, and url.

Similarity Check

All submitted manuscripts are checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software iThenticate before entering the peer review process. The maximum allowable similarity index is 25%. Manuscripts exceeding this limit cannot be published.

Copyright on any open access article in Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1-Mathematics and Statistics (Commun. Fac. Sci. Univ. Ank. Ser. A1. Math. Stat.) is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY).

Authors grant Faculty of Science of Ankara University a licence to publish the article and identify itself as the original publisher. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified. It is a fundamental condition that articles submitted have not been previously published and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author will not be permitted to make any new additions to the manuscript.

Publication Ethics, Malpractice Statement and Publication Policy

Faculty of Sciences of Ankara University takes its duties of guardianship over all stages of publishing extremely seriously and we recognize our ethical and other responsibilities.

The editorial board pursue the best practice guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). To guaranty the integrity of the published papers, the editors are guided for using COPE’s flowcharts whenever they suspect an ethical issue about the paper they process. The authors, reviewers, editors and owner of the journal are expected to strictly committed to ensuring the policy of publication ethics and malpractice, and respect to the following statements:

Plagiarism and Authorship

It is a fundamental condition that articles submitted to Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1 Mathematics and Statistics (Commun. Fac. Sci. Univ. Ank. Ser. A1. Math. Stat.) have not been previously published and will not be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. The authors are expected to strictly follow the policy of publication ethics and malpractice. After the manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author will not be permitted to make any new additions to the manuscript. Before publication the galley proof is always sent to the author for correction. Thus it is solely the author's responsibility for any typographical mistakes which occur in their article as it appears in the Journal. The contents of the manuscript published in the Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1 Mathematics and Statistics are the sole responsibility of the authors. Authors should not post their submitted work online in any sense, before or during the submission process, as this may cause nomenclatural problems.

Citation Ethics

Authors must cite appropriate and relevant literature in support of the results presented in their manuscript. Authors who already published papers on the same topic are expected to include citation of these papers, but they are expected to avoid excessive and inappropriate self-citation.

Policy on Avoiding Fragmented Publications

There is no page limit for submissions to Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1 Mathematics and Statistics. Therefore, data and results that are part of the same research framework should not be divided into smaller, separate publications. Authors are expected to present their complete findings within a single, coherent, and original manuscript, ensuring the integrity and scientific value of their work.

Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests

A conflict or competing interest arises when an individual’s decisions or actions—such as a reviewer’s recommendation, an editor’s decision, or an author’s interpretation of results—may be influenced by personal, financial, or professional interests. Any suspicion or awareness of a conflict or competing interest should be promptly reported to the editorial team. Authors are required to declare that they have no potential conflicts or competing interests, whether financial or non-financial. If any exist, authors must fully disclose all relevant interests in a ‘Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests’ section, explaining why the interest could be perceived as a conflict. Declared interests will be carefully evaluated by the editors and reviewers and will be clearly indicated in the published article. The journal follows the guidelines and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling conflicts and competing interests.

Ethical Oversight

Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1 Mathematics and Statistics is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in research and publishing. The journal requires authors to ensure that all research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data complies with internationally accepted ethical standards and local regulations. Studies involving human participants must include a statement confirming that informed consent was obtained and that the research was approved by an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board. For research involving animals, authors must confirm that ethical guidelines for the care and use of animals were followed. Authors must also ensure that privacy and confidentiality of data are maintained in accordance with legal and ethical standards. The journal follows the ethical oversight guidelines recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and reserves the right to request documentation or take appropriate action if ethical concerns arise.

Complaints and Appeals Policy

The journal is committed to ensuring the integrity of the editorial and peer review process. Complaints regarding editorial decisions, publication ethics, or any aspect of the journal’s operations will be handled promptly and fairly.

• Complaints: Authors, reviewers, or readers may submit complaints by contacting the editorial office via e-mail. All complaints will be acknowledged within a reasonable time frame and investigated thoroughly, with outcomes communicated transparently.
• Appeals: Authors who wish to appeal editorial decisions must submit a detailed justification outlining the grounds for the appeal. Appeals will be reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editorial board member not involved in the original decision. The journal's final decision after an appeal is binding.

Data Sharing and Reproducibility

If a study includes data, authors must provide a clear statement on data availability, including details on where and how the data, code, and any other relevant materials can be accessed to enable reproducibility. When data or materials cannot be shared due to ethical, legal, or privacy reasons, this should be clearly explained. For studies that do not involve data, a data availability statement is not required.

Intellectual Property Policy

The journal respects the intellectual property rights of authors and third parties. Authors must ensure that their submissions do not infringe any existing copyrights, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

Post-publication Discussions and Corrections

The journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the published record. Post-publication discussions and feedback can be submitted to the editorial team via email. The editors welcome comments that contribute to the scientific discourse. When necessary, the following correction options may be applied:

• Corrigendum/Erratum: For minor errors that do not affect the overall conclusions.
• Retraction: In cases where the reliability of the publication is seriously compromised.
• Publisher’s Note: For important clarifications that do not warrant a formal correction or retraction.

Editors 

Every suspicion of ethical issues will be investigated by the journal. Any suspicious case on ethical issues, misconduct or conflict of interest can be reported to the Editor-in-Chief or the field editor who conduct the investigation. Editorial Board and reviewers/authors are encouraged for their opinion for the treatment of ethical issues. In the case of the involvement of other journals, Editor-in-Chief will contact the journal to make a common decision if possible. In the case of plagiarism, the retraction of a publication can be decided. The readers and all persons involved in the decision and publication process of the article and employer of the incriminated author (or reviewer) works will be notified.

Editors should decline to be involved with a submission when they have a financial interest, a recent publication, current submission, a collaboration, close personal connection with any author of submission. Editors must also declare if they have previously discussed the manuscript with the authors.
The AMS Subject Classification Codes are rigorously followed by our editors.

Author Declarations and License Agreement

By submitting a manuscript to Communications Faculty of Sciences University of Ankara Series A1 Mathematics and Statistics, the corresponding author affirms that all co-authors have granted permission to act on their behalf regarding the submission and publication process. The authors collectively declare that:

• The manuscript is an original work that has not been previously published in any peer-reviewed journal and is not currently under consideration elsewhere. It does not infringe upon any existing copyrights, intellectual property rights, or third-party rights.
• The authors are fully responsible for the content of the manuscript and confirm that they have full authority to submit the work. Granting publication rights to this journal does not conflict with any existing agreements or obligations.
• All authors confirm that they have directly contributed to the planning, execution, or analysis of the study and have read and approved the final version submitted.
• Authors also confirm that they do not have any other manuscripts currently under process with the journal and will not submit a new manuscript until the current submission is finalized.
• All factual statements presented in the manuscript are, to the best of their knowledge, accurate and reliable. The authors have made every effort to ensure the integrity and scientific validity of their work.
• The manuscript does not contain any content that is illegal, defamatory, or in violation of confidentiality, and its publication will not breach any legal or ethical standards.
• Any figures, tables, or content reproduced from other sources have the necessary permissions and are properly credited.
• The authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and reproduce the article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
