Abstract

Abstract

This letter aims to highlight the role of mobile health (m-Health) applications in modern diabetes management, emphasizing their impact on self-monitoring, clinical outcomes, and healthcare delivery.Mobile applications provide a comprehensive platform for glucose tracking, insulin dose adjustment, carbohydrate counting, physical activity monitoring, and nutritional analysis. Evidence shows that these tools contribute to improved glycemic control, increased patient motivation, and enhanced treatment adherence. The recently published 2025 Diabetes Technologies Guideline by the Turkish Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism (TEMD) underscores the importance of integrating these technologies into clinical practice. While mobile health tools offer significant advantages, they must be implemented under professional supervision to ensure efficacy, safety, and ethical standards.
