La problématique lukkienne

Abstract

La culture antique du XIX siécle est fortement marquée par la connaissance des textes littéraires grecs et en particulier de l'ceuvre homérique. Or, les occurrences de la Lycie dans la littérature grecque sont nombreuses. Qu’il suffise d’évoquer la geste de Bellérophon, la participation des Lyciens 4 la guerre de Troie: Sarpédon et Glaukos, l’archer Pandaros. Ainsi, avant méme que ne débute «aventures, pour ainsi dire, du Lukka, les esprits étaient préparés A identifier le toponyme hittite a la Lycie, imprégnés qu'ils étaient de l’ceuvre homeérique et de la croyance en une histoire haute en couleurs de la Lycie de l'Age du Bronze.
