Türkiye Futbol Federasyonun A Milli Erkek Futbol Takımı Faaliyetleriyle İlgili Gelir ve Giderlerinin Sportif Başarı Çerçevesinde Analizi

Abstract

Amaç: Futbol endüstrileştikçe, futbolda mali performans daha fazla önem kazanmış, mali durum ile sportif başarı arasında bir uyum olabileceği tartışılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, Türkiye A Milli Erkek Futbol Takımı’nın 2005-2022 yılları arasındaki 17 yılda, gelir ve giderler çerçevesindeki mali performansını belirleme çabasındadır. Çalışma aynı zamanda, bu dönemdeki sportif sonuçlar ile mali performansı karşılaştırmaktadır. Bu karşılaştırma mali performans ile sportif başarı arasında uyum olup olmadığının belirlenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Bu araştırma çalışmasında, Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu’nun (TFF) internet sitesinde yer alan mali tablolardaki A Milli Erkek Futbol Takımıyla ilgili gelir-gider verileri ve milli takımın elde ettiği müsabaka sonuçları kullanılmış ve analiz edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Bulgular, futbol milli takımının sportif başarısı ile mali performans arasında sürekli ve sistematik bir uyum olmadığını göstermektedir. Diğer bir ifade ile incelenen yıllarda, mali denge ile sportif sonuçlar arasında, sürekli şekilde olumlu ya da olumsuz yönde bir ilişki olmadığı anlaşılmıştır.
Sonuç: Futbol milli takımı başarılarının arttırılması bağlamındaki tartışmalarda, başarı üzerinde, mali performanstan daha fazla etki edebilecek değişkenler olacağı dikkate alınmalıdır.

Analysis of Turkish Football Federation Income and Expenses Related to Men’s National Football Team Activities within the Framework of Sporting Success

Abstract

Purpose: As football became industrialized, financial performance in football began to become more significant and it has been argued that there may be a harmony between financial performance and success in sports. In this context, this study attempts to determine the financial performance of the Turkey Men's National Football Team during the 17 years between 2005 and 2022. The study also compares sporting results with financial performance over this period. This comparison was made to determine whether there is harmony between financial performance and sports success.
Method: In this research study, income-expenditure data regarding the National Men's Football Team in the financial tables on the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) website and the competition results obtained by the national team were used and analyzed.
Results: The findings have indicated that there is no consistent and systematic relationship between the sporting success of the football national team and financial performance. In other words, in the years examined, it has been understood that there was no consistent positive or negative harmony between the financial balance and sports results.
Conclusion: In discussions on increasing the success of the national football team, it should be taken into account that there will be variables that may have a greater impact on success than financial performance.
