Abstract

A large number of children and young people around the world continue their education and training in schools. Their academic success in this process also affects their general quality of life. Students must be physically, psychologically, and socially good for their academic success. This is closely related to their lifestyle. Students' lifestyles are affected by many factors, such as personal characteristics, health status, environment, family, economic situation, culture, and policies. Nutrition has a great impact on students' academic achievement as well as their health status. Studies have shown that students' nutritional models, food preferences, meal patterns, and nutritional knowledge levels affect their cognitive performance. In addition, it has been reported that regular physical activity increases academic achievement by having positive effects on physiological and psychological health. It has been reported that students' cognitive performance is related to sleep quality, and academic success will be increased by increasing sleep quality. Students' relationships with family, friends, school, and the environment affect their psychosocial health and have an impact on academic achievement. This review aims to discuss lifestyle behaviors within the framework of nutrition, physical activity, sleep, and social life with the current literature in order to increase academic success in students.
