Ayrımcılık ve Şiddetin Toplumsallaşması: Sosyal Adalet ve Toplumsal Barış

Abstract

Sosyal Politika disiplini, refahın topluma dağıtılarak, sosyal adaletin inşasının gerçekleşmesi ile toplumun bütün kesimlerinin tüm sosyal sorunlarına çözüm arama amacı güden bir disiplindir. Barış Çalışmaları disiplini ise, şiddet ve türleri ile mücadele üzerinden barışın inşasını amaç edinen ve bu amacın da sosyal adaleti var etmekten geçtiği yaklaşımının kabul gördüğü bir disiplindir. Barışın, olumlu barış yapısı ile sağlanabileceği, bunun da, yapısal şiddet ve kültürel şiddet unsurlarının olmadığı ve sosyal adaletin inşa edildiği yapıların varlığı yoluyla mümkün olacağı görülmektedir. Bu çalışma ile ekonomik, siyasi ve sosyal hayatta ayrımcılık itkisiyle hareket edildiğinde, bilişsel düzeyde olan ayrımcılık eğilimlerinin, kurumsal ayrımcılık, yapısal şiddet ve kültürel şiddet gibi sonuçları var etmesi ve bunun da yaratacağı derin toplumsal sorunlar görünür kılınmıştır. Diğer taraftan, eşitlik itkisiyle hareket edildiğinde, bu itkinin inşa edilecek sosyal adaletin ve toplumsal barışın tesisindeki niteliği ortaya koyulmak istenmiştir. Bu iki farklı yol haritası ve olgular, disiplinler arası disiplin olma özelliği gösteren, Sosyal Politika, Barış Çalışmaları ve gerçekleştirilmiştir. Ayrıca, sosyal politika ile toplumsal barış arasındaki geçişken bağın görünür kılınması hedeflenmiştir ve sosyal adalet için sosyal sorunlarla mücadele yöntemleri geliştiren sosyal politikanın, temel bilgi ve pratiklerinin barış çalışmaları disiplini içinde temel nitelik arz etmekte olduğu tartışılmıştır. Son olarak, ayrımcılık teorisindeki bir ihtiyaca hitap etmek için, bu çalışma “ayrıştırıcı” kavramını ortaya koymakta ve bunu literatüre sunmaktadır

The Penetration of Discrimination and Violence into Society: Social Justice and Social Peace

Abstract

Social Policy is a discipline seeking to offer solutions to social problems that occur throughout all levels of society by distributing welfare through social justice. On the other hand, Peace Studies is a discipline that aims to build peace by addressing violence and its forms, being widely accepted through the creation of social justice. It is understood that peace has meaning of positive peace which means not just free of direct violence, but also meaning free of structural and cultural violence, only possible with institutions creating working social justice. This study highlights that discrimination tendencies at the cognitive level have consequences such as institutional discrimination, structural violence and cultural violence when acted with the drive of discrimination in economic, political and social life and also highlights the deep social problems that this will create. Furthermore, alternatively, when the motive for equality is acted upon, the nature of this impulse for building social justice and social peace is discussed in this study. These two different approaches and their associated facts have been analysed by using inter-disciplinary field knowledge of Social Policy, Peace Studies and Social Psychology. In addition, it aims to make the transitional link between social policy and social peace visible as it is argued that the basic knowledge and practices of social policy, which develops methods of combating social problems for social justice, and this is useful to both peace studies and to forming social policy. Finally, to address a need in the theory of discrimination, this study introduces the notion of discriminator and offers this to the literature
