Mesleki Yönelim Test Bataryasının Uygulama Deneyimleri: İş ve Meslek Danışmanları ile Danışanlar Üzerine Nitel Bir Araştırma

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye İş Kurumu (İŞKUR) tarafından uygulanan Mesleki Yönelim Test Bataryasının (MYTB) uygulama sürecini, karşılaşılan sınırlılıkları ve paydaş görüşlerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, MYTB’nin sahadaki yansımalarını hem uygulayıcı İş ve Meslek Danışmanı (İMD) hem de danışan gözüyle bütüncül bir yaklaşımla ele almaktadır. Araştırmada, bireylerin MYTB sürecine ilişkin deneyimlerini derinlemesine incelemek amacıyla nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu, Bolu ilinde görev yapan ve ölçüt örnekleme tekniği ile belirlenen 9 İMD ile üniversite öğrenimi gören lise mezunu 11 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmelerle toplanmış ve MAXQDA yazılımı aracılığıyla içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Bulgular; MYTB’nin bireylerde önemli bir öz farkındalık ve onaylanma hissi yarattığı, ancak sürecin başarısı için danışman rehberliğinin önemli olduğunu işaret etmektedir. Bununla birlikte, testin süresinin uzun olmasından kaynaklanan bilişsel yorgunluk, uygulama zamanlamasının geç olması ve bataryanın statik yapısının dinamik piyasa ihtiyaçlarını karşılamada yetersiz kalması temel sınırlılıklar olarak saptanmıştır. MYTB’nin eğitim hayatının erken evrelerine entegre edilmesi, yapay zekâ destekli algoritmalarla güncellenmesi ve bölgesel işgücü verileriyle yerelleştirilmesi önerilmektedir.

Application Experiences of the Vocational Orientatıon Test Battery: A Qualitative Research On İşkur Job and Vocational Counselors and Clients

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation processes, encountered limitations, and stakeholder perspectives of the Vocational Orientation Test Battery (MYTB) administered by the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR). The research adopts a holistic approach by evaluating the field reflections of MYTB through the eyes of both practitioners, namely Job and Vocational Counselors (JVC), and student participants. To conduct an in-depth analysis of individuals' experiences regarding the MYTB process, a phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed. The study group consists of 9 JVCs operating in Bolu and 11 high school graduates pursuing undergraduate education, determined through criterion sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and subjected to content analysis using MAXQDA software. The findings indicate that MYTB generates a significant sense of self-awareness and validation among individuals, while highlighting that the success of the process heavily relies on counselor guidance. Furthermore, cognitive fatigue resulting from the length of the test, late implementation timing, and the inadequacy of the battery’s static structure in meeting dynamic market needs were identified as primary limitations. It is recommended that MYTB be integrated into earlier stages of education, updated with AI-supported algorithms, and localized using regional labor market data.
