Çalışma ve Toplum (labour and society) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal. Manuscripts are submitted to the journal via Dergipark system. Double blind referee system is applied in the journal. The manuscripts and other files sent to the journal are first checked by the secretariat according to the manuscript submission rules, and if there are missing or incorrect submissions, the authors are asked to correct them. The manuscripts whose control is completed are transferred to the editorial stage. The manuscripts are sent to the field editor by the editor within the framework of the procedures stipulated in the Dergipark system. The manuscripts are examined by the field editors in terms of compliance with the scope of publication of the journal, scientific ethics, expression and spelling rules. Authors of unsuitable manuscripts are notified of this situation by the editor via the Dergipark system.

As a result of the review by the field editors, the manuscripts that are deemed appropriate to be sent to the referee are presented to the Editorial Board by the editor and the referee's suggestions are requested and the manuscript is sent separately to two referees who are recognised for their scientific studies in the field. The referees evaluate the manuscript based on the manuscript evaluation form and decide on one of the results of ‘Acceptance’, ‘Rejection’, ‘Minor Revision’ or ‘Major Revision’. Authors may be asked to make corrections in their manuscript in line with the referee reports. Referee reports are evaluated by the field editors, and in case of doubt, the field editors may resort to options such as acceptance, rejection, or appointment of a new referee. The final decision on the publication of the manuscript belongs to the Editorial Board or the editor. The final decision on the manuscript is notified to the author by the editor via the Dergipark system.

Manuscripts that are decided to be published can be published as Early View with the editor's decision. The editor is authorised to decide to which issue the manuscripts published as Early View will be assigned.

All stages of the manuscript evaluation process are carried out by the editor based on the confidentiality of the authors and referees.
