Abstract

Türkiye'de 27 Mayıs 1960 tarihinde yaşanan Hükümet Darbesi Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'ni etkilediği gibi Kıbrıs Türk toplumunu da birçok yönden etkilemişti. Adada yaşayan Rumların Türklere yönelik kurmuş oldukları EOKA örgütüne karşı 1958 tarihinde Kıbrıs Türk toplumu tarafından Türk Mukavemet Teşkilatı kurularak faaliyetlerine başlar. TMT'nin en büyük desteği ise Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin Demokrat Parti Hükümeti tarafından sağlanmaktaydı. Türkiye'de askerin hükümete müdahalesi ile DP iktidarı son bulmuştu. Yaşanan darbe süreci ise TMT'nin olumsuz yönde etkilenmesine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye'de yaşanan tarihi günlerin Kıbrıs Türk toplumunu hangi açılardan etkilediği TMT ve örgütün sözcüsü konumunda olan Nacak gazetesi örneği ile aktarılmaya çalışılacaktır.

Echoes of 27th May 1960 Coup to Cyprus; Example of TMT and Nacak Journal

Abstract

The Coup in the Republic of Turkey in 27th of May, 1960 infiuenced not only Turkey but also the society of Turkish Cypriots in many ways. Turkish Resistance Organization founded by Turkish Cypriot society in 1958 starts the actions against EOKA organization founded by Greek Cypriots against Turkish Cypriots. Democratic Party Government of Republic of Turkey was the greatest supporter of TMT. After the coup, the government of Democratic Party had been collapsed in Turkey. The process of coup infiuenced TMT in the negative way. This study will analyze how historic days infiuenced Turkish Cypriot society in the eyes of TMT and by the example of its spokesman the newspaper called Nacak.
