The Journal of Cumhuriyet Theology (CUID) is an international peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Theology, Sivas Cumhuriyet University. The Journal is published biannually, on 15 June and 15 December. Manuscripts for the 15 June issue are accepted between 15 January and 15 February, while submissions for the 15 December issue are accepted between 15 July and 15 August. However, article submissions usually close within a day if the required number of articles is reached.
The Journal aims to contribute to national and international scholarship by publishing original research articles in the field of Religious Studies (Social Sciences and Humanities).
Only research articles whose all authors hold a doctoral degree are eligible for consideration. Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process by at least two independent reviewers. In addition, all submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and compliance with publication ethics.
For manuscripts submitted in Turkish, authors are required to provide Turkish and English abstracts of 200–250 words each, together with an extended English abstract of 750–1000 words at the time of submission. For manuscripts submitted in English, Turkish and English abstracts of 200–250 words each are sufficient; an extended English abstract is not required.
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Cumhuriyet Theology (CUID) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original research articles in the field of Religious Studies (Social Sciences and Humanities) in accordance with international academic standards. The Journal aims to contribute to the scholarly literature in Religious Studies by publishing research that examines religion from historical, textual, intellectual, philosophical, legal, ethical, and social perspectives.
The Journal welcomes scholarly contributions in Islamic Studies, Jewish Studies, Christian Studies, Comparative Religion, Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, Sociology of Religion, Psychology of Religion, Religious Education, and other disciplines related to the academic study of religion. It is not limited to any particular religious tradition or historical period and encourages submissions that offer methodological rigor, theoretical insight, and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of religious traditions, cultures, and schools of thought.
