Saint George Monastery as a Common Visiting Place Between Muslims and Chıistians

Abstract

The monastery which is attributed to Saint George is a comman visiting place between Muslims and Christians. In this article, we will discuss ldentity of Saint George and whether he is a histarical person or not. After that, we will deal with the construction and discovery of the monastery and the narratives that is related to this. Then we will give the information about how and why the Turks who are settled in Anatolia have adopted Saint George Monastery as a religiously visiting place.
