GHAZALI ON MIRACLES AND NECESSARY CONNECTION

Abstract

Ghazali focuses attention on the relation between observable things habitually regarded as causes and effects in the 17th discussion of Tahafut al- Falasifa. He accepted the thought of Ash'rite and rejected causality. According to Ghazali, all happening creation of God. This can be directly or through mediation of his angels. A G. Giacaman and R. Bahlul argued that Ghazali 's overall concern is to affirm the omnipotence of God and to safeguard the possibility of miracles. They argued that Ghazali 's desire to uphold the possibility of mirades need not constraip him to rejected the idea of necessary connection.
