Kur’an-Bilim İlişkisinin Problematik Boyutu Üzerine Genel Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

While human’s basic questions about the reality and nature of the life and universe, about the meaning and goal of their existence, about death and hereafter in addition to his related thoughts, beliefs and actions form one dimension of his life, his questioning the causality of the existence and events, his endeavour to find out their objective laws form the other dimension of his life. History witnesses to the reality that the two dimensions of humanity mentioned as “religion and science” have existed in relation with each other from the very beginning until now. That is why these two dimensions should be handled and evaluated in unity. But, after the age of Enlightenment, there have appeared some problems in understanding and comprehending the relation between religion and science. These problems have made themselves felt in the comprehension and interpretation of the nature of the relation between the Qur’an and science. In this article, moving from the analysis of this relation, the understanding and comprehension problems related to the subject will be taken up and evaluated.

Kur’an-Bilim İlişkisinin Problematik Boyutu Üzerine Genel Bir Değerlendirme

Öz

İnsanın varlığa, hayat ve evrenin mahiyetine, anlam ve gayesine, ölüm ve ötesine, ibadet ve manevi değerlere dair en temel soruları, onlarla ilgili sahip olduğu fikirleri, inanç ve eylemleri varlığının bir boyutunu oluştururken, varlık ve olayların nasıllığını sorgulaması, onların tabi oldukları nesnel kanunları keşfetme gayreti de varlığının diğer boyutunu oluşturur. Tarih, din ve bilimsel faaliyet olarak ifade edilen insan varlığının bu iki boyutunun birbiriyle ilişkili olarak hep var oldu- ğu gerçeğine şahitlik yapmaktadır. Bu iki boyutun birbirinden bağımsız ve ortak noktalarının birbiriyle ilişkili ve bütünlük içerisinde ele alı- nıp değerlendirilmesi gerekirken, özellikle Aydınlanma’dan sonra bu ilişkinin doğru bir şekilde kavranılıp mihverine oturtulması kavranılması noktasında problemler ortaya çıkmıştır. Din-bilim ilişkisinin kavranılmasında ortaya çıkan problemler, İslam-bilim, daha özelde Kur’an-bilim ilişkisinin mahiyetine ilişkin anlayış ve yorumlarda da kendisini hissettirmiştir. Makalede bu ilişkinin analizinden hareketle konuyla ilgili anlama problemleri ele alınıp değerlendirilecektir.
