Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey’in Bestecilik Yönü ve Ferahfeza Peşrevinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
One of the fundamentals of Turkish music is maquam. Mastering of
composers to the subject of maquam and usul, directly affects the
quality of their works. Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey has succeeded to
place himself among the unforgettable. He has well conceived the
style called “classical style”, however he has given original works out
of it. İf Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey hadn't done so, maybe he would be
forgotten. The maquam called ferahfeza is confused with other
maquams because of it's some properties. This confusion of maquam
and usul which is sometimes seen on some composers is the same
for this maquam too. Maquam ferahfeza which is used in a mixed way
with maquam sultanîyegâh and afterwards couldn't be separated
from each other is perfectly understood by Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey
and used by him expertly. In this study, Muallim İsmail Hakkı Bey’s ferahfeza peşrev will be analyzed and him character of compose will
be tried to state expressly
